Sir Henry Dudley Gresham Leveson Gower born in London was an English cricketer who played for Oxford University, Surrey and England.

He captained England in three Test matches against South Africa winning one and losing two against South Africa in 1909/10
He was a major contributor to Scarborough Cricket Festival, was Knighted in 1953 also writing a Book " On and Off the field"
He scored 7638 runs in first class cricket whilst taking 46 wickets, his best bowling performance was an enviable 6/49
