Tatyana Chernovo Olympic Memorabilia

Gold Medallist, World Champion Heptathlete, the one to beat at the London Olympics 2012.

Tatyana Chernova Olympic Memorabilia which is linked to her stunning performances is becoming scarce as her popularity increases.

Tatyana is the currently the best Heptathlete in the world since she defeated Jessica Ennis to win Gold  at the World Championships in Daegu on August 30 2011, Jessica put up a personal best in the 800m but unfortunately having fallen 7m short in the Javelin the distance required was too much to make up.

Tatyana born in 1988 in Krasnodar, Russia, at 6’2”tall she excels in the Javelin, throw, long jump and the 800m, Athletics runs in the family as her Father was a Decathlete and her Mother competed in the Relay team winning Gold in the 4x400m at the 1980 Moscow Olympics.

Her first competitive foray was in 2005 when she won Gold in the World Youth Championships at the Stade Sidi Youssef Ben Ali, Marrakesh with Yana Panteleyeva taking Silver.

In 2006 Tatyana won Gold in the World Junior Championships, Beijing.

In 2007 Tatyana competed at her Senior International debut, the World Championships in Athletics held at the Nagai Stadium in Osaka, she suffered injury on the first day and retired. Carolina Kluft (Sweden) took Gold in the Heptathlon.

In 2008 Tatyana competed in the IAAF World Indoor Championships in Valencia and was placed 7th in the Pentathlon, later that year she achieved a personal best score of 6618, finishing 1st at the Hypo - Meeting in Austria. She followed with a Bronze Medal in the Women’s Heptathlon at the 2008 Summer Olympics Beijing when she was 20 years old.

Tatyana failed to improve her points score in the following year placed 8th in the 2009 World Championships in Athletics (Berlin).

In 2010 Tatyana won a Bronze in the Pentathlon competing in the World Indoor Championships at the Aspire Dome in Qatar. Later that year she was to finish 4th at the European Championships, Heptathlon in Barcelona.

Tatyana list of Major achievements:

Bronze 2008 Olympic Games Beijing, Heptathlon

Gold     2011 World Championships, Daegu, Heptathlon

Bronze 2010 World Indoor Championships Quatar Pentathlon

There is currently so much anticipation about the forthcoming London Olympics. Tatyana Chernovo Olympic Memorabilia is sure to be at a premium, any of her previous events are in demand especially related to the Gold achieved in Daegu. Beijing 2006 and 2005 Morocco personally appeal to me as often memorable events early in an Athletes career are a serious collector’s preference.

Olympic Memorabilia currently available includes event tickets, signed presentations (so much more prevalent these days) montages, signed programmes and periodicals. If Tatyana wins Gold this summer these items are sure to feature high on the Collectors list.
