Shane Warne comeback

Shane Warne the 43 year old, iconic Australian spin bowler is currently non-committal over rumours of his possible return to Test cricket in 2013, if invited by skipper Michael Clarke

Cricket memorabilia associated with Shane has always been popular especially the Ashes series in which he was so successful, his 1067 international wickets are beyond reproach.

In last week’s Big Bash league appearance for Melbourne Stars Shane conceded 41 runs to Melbourne Renegades in just a dozen wicket less deliveries, a return to test form needs to be viewed over a season not one match. Whichever way you look at it he would be inspirational to any team and a great mentor for younger players.

In order to make a return to test cricket Shane would need to  get back into playing regular Sheffield Shield cricket which would not be a problem to him, social life permitting!!

Let’s hope he can make a comeback, maybe a step backwards for Australia but great for Sky Sports.
