T20 Cricket Memorabilia at The Rose Bowl Southampton

England having won the toss chose to put the Australians in to bat leaving “man of the match” Aaron Finch to ensure the Tourists first international win of the summer, Aaron scored  a tremendous 156 runs off 63 balls including 14 sixes and 11 fours, before being bowled by Jade Dernbach,. Aaron beat the previous international record of 123 runs scored by New Zealand's Brendon McCullum to become the first Australian to score a T20 cricket international century.

Cricket Memorabilia is always popular at T20 events and somewhat more available owing to the less formal atmosphere of a Test match; this was certainly so at the packed Southampton ground last night where players were more than generous with their offerings. The only downside being England selecting a relatively fresh eleven, better known for County Cricket achievements

Chasing a target of 248/6 the England opening batsmen threw caution to the wind, with the first four wickets falling for just 34 runs Mitchell Johnson and Joss Hazlewood dismissing the key batsmen, Joe Root stemmed the flow putting on 90 runs off 49 balls not out, the hosts putting up a spirited fight making 209/6, but it wasn’t enough.

Cricket Collectables look forward to the 2nd and final T20 on Saturday at Durham before the start of the 5 ODI series.
