England v Australia, 2nd ODI at Old Trafford

Plenty of cricket signings last night at Old Trafford, memorabilia from the 1st two ODIs  will be on our website end of week. (emphasis on Michael Clarke man of the match)

The tourists thrashed England today by 88 runs taking a 1-0 lead in the 5 match series, following a wash out Headingley in the 1st One Day International

Michael Clarke having scored a century at Old Trafford in the Ashes series, led the way with 105 off 102 deliveries, finding the boundary 14 times to confirm his 8th ODI century. Clarke was well supported in a 4th wicket stand of 155 runs, by Vice Captain George Bailey who scored 82 off 67.

Michael Clarke was later named man of the match, a well-deserved accolade for the persevering Australian.

Chasing a target 327 runs statistically England were up against it, only having scored 300 to win an ODI match twice previously, they were all out 227 with 5.4 overs left.

Edgbaston should well worth attending for 3rd ODI on Wednesday, another opportunity for some excellent cricket memorabilia
