  • England v New Zealand Signed Cricket Bats

Posted on May 29, 2013 by Selby

Alastair Cook on scoring his 25th century for England took the long way round to achieve a 247 run victory yesterday at Headingley, I would have preferred him to have pulled out with 340 runs on the score board, not having to worry too much about unsettled weather and the draw, anyway it was good to see England seal the series 2-0 following an excellent 170 run victory at Lords.

Cricket Memorabilia is available from the series including signed cricket bats, autographs, score cards and signed tour paraphernalia .

With just six weeks to finalise their line up to play Australia the selectors must be delighted with the return to form of Graeme Swann and Steve Finn however they will be concerned about  opener Nick Compton’s form, Compton has scored only 54 runs in 6 innings he has time to mitigate this when he  plays two important matches, Somerset v Glamorgan on June 2nd in the Yorkshire Bank 40 and Somerset v Australia starting on June 26.

The first Test against Australia at Trent Bridge begins on 10 July there is sure to be plenty of Cricket memorabilia available from the event, an England win would make 2013 a great year for collectables.

  • Cricket Autographs England v New Zealand Test Series

Posted on May 20, 2013 by Selby

Cricket Autographs and Memorabilia were high on the list for many fans attending the 1st Test at Lords yesterday.

Stuart Broad supported by James Anderson devastated the Tourist batting as they were dismissed for a mere 68 runs in their 2nd innings with England securing their first Test victory of the season on a 170 run lead.

Only two Kiwi players - Neil Wagner and BJ Watling - made double figures as New Zealand claimed tenth position for the lowest scoring in a Test at Lords.

Tim Southee,  6 wicket for 50 runs should have left the Kiwis in good standing, but this was enough to fire Stuart Broad into action,  claiming 5 wickets from 35 deliveries before lunch making  up for his disappointing tour of India during the winter.

Stuart Broad’s final tally 7/44 was reminiscent of his fine bowling against the West Indies also at Lords (7/72) in May 2012, on that occasion Anderson was also prevalent dismissing number 2 &3 Powell and Edwards.

Stuart Broad cricket memorabilia was particularly sought after as you would imagine.

The 2nd Investec Test is at Headingley on Friday 24 May not to be missed with the momentum England now have, it might be worth a punt.

New Zealand v England Cricket Memorabilia

The forthcoming series in NZ should be excellent for cricket collectables.

First off, two T20 warm ups at Whangarei which will see fast bowler Stuart Broad return to the side on Monday  having recovered from the heel injury he incurred in the recent India series

The Nott’s all-rounder lost his Test place to Steve Finn after under par performances in the first two tests at Ahmedabad and Mumbai  where he took no wickets, as it happens Finn took four useful wickets in the 3rd test.

Cricket Collectables from the series in India which we have available includes signed cricket bats, autographed tour itineraries, signed dinner menus, scorecards and a small selection of match worn kit

The itinerary for the series is listed below:

4/2              T20 warm up at Whangarei

    6/2                “   “    “    “     “    “

    9/2               T20 Int Auckland

    12/2             T20 Int Hamilton

    15/2             T20 Int Wellington

    17/2             ODI Hamilton

    20/2             ODI Napier

    23/2             ODI Auckland

    6-10 March Ist Test Dunedin

    14-18  “         2nd Test Wellington

    22-26  “         3rd Test Auckland

The series has the potential for an exciting 2 months; Broad on form could make the difference

He needs to return to form having averaged 39.72 with the ball and 14.00 with the bat in his last complete Test Series England v South Africa in the summer.
